        at Simhachalam near Vishakapatnam Deities: Narasimha This is an ancient temple, renovated by the Chalukyas in the 11th century, and again by the Eastern Gangas in the 13th. The Tamil Cholas have also patronized this temple dedicated to Vishnu. So have the Vijayanagar Emperors.Built on a hill, this temple has exquisitely carved halls.Its art combines the Chalukyan and the Orissa styles. The Natyamandapam has 96 black stone pillars in 6 rows of 16 each, all different in design details.
