This is a modern temple celebrating Krishna - the foremost incarnation of Vishnu. Krishna's life was very closely linked with Mathura and the city is full of shrines dedicated to Krishna.The Gita Mandir is another temple of interest.Gokul, Brindavan and Govardhan are other sites nearby attracting millions of pilgrims. The large red temple (Govind Dev) (1590 AD) with vaulted ceilings, Jugal Kishore Temple (1027 AD), Radha Vallabh and Madan Mohan temples attract several piligrims.
