This is an ancient temple dedicated to Shiva located in the hamlet of Kanjanur near Kumbakonam. One of the Navagraha Stalams and a Paadal Petra Stalam, sung bythe Nayanmars, this temple is held special to Sukran or Venus and is also referred to as Sukrastalam. It is in very serene surroundings with very few visitors.
