Andal and Vadapatrasayee Temple at Srivilliputtur near Tirunelveli

Deities: Andal, Vadapatrasayee-Rangamannar (Vishnu)

This temple belongs to the 8th century AD and enshrines Andal, the divine Vaishnaviite saintess and Vadapatrasayee Vishnu in a reclining posture. This temple has imposing towers and exquisite wood and stone carvings. This is the birthplace of Andal. The divine couple Andal and Rangamannar are the processional idols here. This is one of the 108 sacred Sree Vaishnavite shrines.
