 Deities: Kachabeswarar (Shiva) This is an ancient temple dedicated to Shiva, depicting Vishnu's worshipping Shiva when he took the form of a tortoise - hence the name Kachabeswarar. There is another temple dedicated to Kachabeswarar at George Town Madras built by a devotee from Madras, who could not undertake frequent trips to Kanchipuram.
