Neer Vanna Perumal Temple at Tiruneermalai near Madras

Deities: Neer Vanna Perumal (Vishnu)

Two temples are associated with this shrine, marked as one of the 108 sacred Sree Vaishnavite centers - the Ranganathaswami temple on the hill and the Neervannar temple at the bottom of the hill. The Tamil word Neer refers to a mass sheet of water that surrounded the hill when the Saint Poet Tirumangai Alwar visited this shrine more than a thousand years ago.
