Encyclopedia Home Page of Lingaraj Temple at Bhubaneswar(Orissa) Deities: Lingaraja -Shiva This is the grandest of all temples in Bhubaneswar and is dedicated to Shiva. The 180 foot high temple with a jagamohana, natamandir and bhogamandapa is surrounded by a massive wall, 7 feet in thickness.There is a profusion of sculptural work in this temple which dates backto 1014 AD to the Somavamsis.
