This Shivastalam is located 4 km southwest of Tirunellikka
near Tiruvarur. Tiruttenkoor
is a Shivastalam in the vicinity. This shrine is regarded as the 115th
in the series of Tevara Stalams in the Chola Region south of the river
Kaveri. Saturn's shrine is of significance here in this
shrine where The image above is that of Saneeswarar at Tirunallar.
The Navagrahas are in a single file as in Tiruvarur. Agni is believed to have worshipped Shiva. This
west facing temple occupies an area of about an acre;
